LAR .308 - good pig gun!

I have read (for what that is worth) that RRA is a bit lower quality then Bushmaster (which is said to be slightly below mil spec), but better quality than most manufactures - overall - I have not heard much "bad" news about RRA...

That said, my next rifle will be a RRA LAR .308

Until next time..... try to keep it between the ditches ya'll...

I have a Remington 700BDL in the .308 and love it. I have always been a .308 fan.

Can you shoot 7.62 out of the LAR .308?

I think BB has a RR arms?? I've heard same as Chris but a friend has a RR and it shoots very well. He has it "pimped" hardcore rails front handle laz/surefire. Minus the rail it was light and I was comfortable with it. DPMS and Stag are nice also. I've also shot the Scout version of the M-14 in 308....kicks like a mule but with a sims butt stock attachment it was a little less .

A drool formed at the corner of my mouth when the m14 was mentioned. Check out troyindustries.com for pretty dresses for the m1/m14 - am planning to get one of these platforms for "my precious" and campaign with it in next yr's sniper's matches.

See, J-MAC brought up the M14/M21 system just to mess with me. You can't beat the M14. It's looking like my "deal" isn't looking as good as it was with the Rock River Arms. so I might be putting the sales pitch for the M21. The down side is I already have a sweet .308 in a Remington 700BDL, short barrel with a Monte Carlo stock. So I see the M14/M21 as being repetitive. Even though it might not be as acurate as a m14 at a couple of hundered yards but I don't shoot those kinda shots anyway.

I passed on it. I'd rather have a new trolling motor.

BTW- I have a friend that just ordered the .308 in the mid-length barrell. He was told it would take up to a year to get.
